A Seamless Extension of Nature

This project frames a garden’s edge with water, creating a beautiful boundary between cultivated landscape and natural reflection. The pond was designed with crisp stone coping and soft, shallow grading, allowing plants to trail into the water and blur the distinction between pond and planting. The water’s surface mirrors the sky and garden, doubling the sense of space and light.

Perfectly placed lighting transforms the pond at dusk, while hidden filtration ensures year-round clarity. The pond serves as a transition point in the landscape: a pause, a mirror, a place of stillness. It complements the formality of the garden while adding rhythm and softness, a finishing touch that completes the scene.
